Pure - Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta Recipe

This recipe has four servings.


Chicken Ingredients:


- 4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts

- 10 sprays of 1-calorie Spray

- 1 tsp Garlic and Pepper Seasoning

- 1 tsp Cajun Seasoning

- 1 tsp Ground Pimento

- 1 tsp Cayenne Chilli Pepper/African Pepper


Chicken Method:


  1. Begin by dicing up the chicken breasts, creating small bites of flavour.

  2. A light four sprays of 1-calorie Cooking Spray and a generous coating of seasonings marinate the chicken for a couple of minutes, up to thirty minutes, even overnight if you prefer.

  3. Preheat the air fryer to 185°C and cook the chicken for 6-10 minutes

  4. Bring out the basket, flip the chicken bites coat with another 6 sprays of 1-calorie cooking spray and cook for another 6-10 minutes.

  5. When the chicken is cooked, remove and set aside and cover the chicken in foil.


Creamy Cajun Sauce Ingredients:


- 350g Pasta

- 10 sprays of Fry Light Sunflower Oil Cooking

- 1 Tablespoon of Garlic Paste

- 1 Tablespoon of Tomato Paste

- 75g of Sun-Dried Tomatoes

- 1 Red Bell Pepper

- 1 Green Bell Pepper

- 1 Red Onion

- 3 Small Chillies

- 100g of Light Soft Cheese

- 125ml or 1/2 Cup of Chicken Stock Broth or Pasta Water (or season pasta with Maggi Cube so you will have a mixture of both)

- 250g Fat-Free Quark

- 1 tsp of Cayenne Pepper/African Pepper

- 1 tsp of Cajun

- 1 tsp of Mixed Herbs

- 1 cup of Freshly Chopped Parsley

- 200g of Fresh Spinach

- 50g of Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese



Pasta Method:

  1. Add 10 sprays of 1-calorie cooking spray in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.

  2. Sauté garlic and tomato paste, one tablespoon of each, then add sun-dried tomatoes, bell peppers, red onion, and chillies.

  3. When the onion becomes translucent, add the diced air-fried chicken and add it to the saucepan.

  4. Combine fat-free quark, the lightest soft cheese, and 50ml of chosen liquid, which could be chicken broth or pasta or a 50/50 mixture, and whisk everything together to create a creamy mixture.

  5. Add the mixture to the saucepan and season with Cajun spice, cayenne pepper, and mixed herbs.

  6. Toss in fresh parsley, and spinach, and adjust the sauce's thickness to your liking with the chosen liquid.

  7. Stir in the cooked pasta and finish with freshly grated parmesan.


In the end, you'll have a plate filled with creamy, cajun-infused pasta, crowned with succulent air-fried chicken. Enjoy your meal and savour the tantalizing blend of flavours!
